
The 2007 Little Rock Silver Dollar was to commemorative the 50th anniversary of the desegregation of Little Rock Central High School, an important event in the American Civil Rights movement.
The obverse of the coin depicts the feet of the “Little Rock Nine” escorted by a soldier to enter the school. This group of nine black students entered the previously segregated facility following the landmark decision of Brown v. Board of Education. The inscription “Liberty” with nine stars appears above the image, and the inscriptions “Desegregation in Education”, “2007″, and “In God We Trust” appear below. The obverse was designed by Richard Masters and sculpted by Charles Vickers.
The reverse features Little Rock Central High School as it appeared in 1957. The building still operates as an educational institution and has been designated as a National Historic Site. The inscriptions read “One Dollar”, “E Pluribus Unum”, “Little Rock Central High School”, and “United States of America”. The reverse was designed and sculpted by Don Everhart.
The United States Mint began sales of the 2007 Little Rock Commemorative Silver Dollar on May 15, 2007. Both proof and uncirculated versions were produced at the Philadelphia Mint and limited to a maximum authorized mintage of 500,000 coins. The US Mint sold the coins individually or as part of two different sets. The first was the Little Rock Coin and Medal Set, which included the uncirculated version of the coin and a 1-1/2 inch bronze medal. The set was limited to 25,000 units and priced at $40. The second set was the 2007 American Legacy Collection, which included the proof version of the coin.
Surcharges added to the cost of each commemorative coin were paid to the Secretary of the Interior for improvements at the Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site.

The 2007 Jamestown $5 Gold Coin was issued to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the settlement of Jamestown, Virginia. In the spring of 1607 three ships carried English settlers to the New World where they would establish the first permanent English settlement in what would become the United States.
The obverse of the gold coin features Captain John Smith with the Native American chief Powhatan. The inscriptions read “Liberty”, “1607″, “2007″, “Founding of Jamestown”, and “In God We Trust”. The obverse was designed by John Mercanti. The reverse features the remains of the Jamestown Memorial Church, which is the only remaining structure in Jamestown. The United States Mint began sales of the Jamestown $5 Gold Commemorative Coins on January 7, 2007. The gold coins were produced at the West Point Mint and sold individually in proof or uncirculated versions. The maximum authorized mintage across all options was 100,000. Surcharges added to the cost of each coin and distributed to the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation of the Commonwealth of Virginia, the Secretary of the Interior, and the Association for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities.

Along with a $5 gold coin, the 2007 Jamestown Silver Dollar was issued to mark the 400th anniversary of the settlement at Jamestown, Virginia. Three ships, the Susan Constant, Godspeed, and Discovery carried 105 settlers to the New World to establish the first permanent English settlement in what would become America.

The reverse features an image of the Susan Constant, Godspeed, and Discovery with inscriptions “United States of America”, “E Pluribus Unum”, and “One Dollar”. The 400th anniversary of Jamestown had also been the subject of the Virginia State Quarter, released in 2000. The quarter also featured an image of the three ships that bought the settlers to Jamestown and carried the dual date of the anniversary.
The Jamestown Silver Dollars went on sale at the United States Mint on January 7, 2007. Individual proof and uncirculated versions of the coin were offered, with both produced at the Philadelphia Mint. Later in the year, the US Mint offered the 2007 American Legacy Set, which included a proof version of the Jamestown Silver Dollar.
